On March 16, 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation officially released the “Announcement on Implementing Mandatory Product Certification Management for Products Such as Lithium-ion Batteries,” formally announcing the decision to include portable power banks within the scope of mandatory certification.
Starting from August 1, 2024, portable power bank products that have not obtained the CCC certification certificate and bear the certification mark will be prohibited from being manufactured, sold, imported, or used in any other business activities.
