Introduction
2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress, China will embark on a new journey. As China’s borders reopen to the world, high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road will serve as a key entry point for advancing high-level opening-up. To commemorate this milestone—the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road—under the guidance of China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Paris Chinese Cultural Center and the Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum, the “Paris-China Fashion Week” event was launched on September 27, 2023, at the Paris Chinese Cultural Center.
With the goal of establishing a flagship project for international cultural exchange and exploring new forms of such exchanges, the Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum, in collaboration with the China Cultural Center in Paris, will co-host the China-France Fashion Week and present the Prince Gong’s Mansion Costume Show on September 27, 2023. On September 4, the “China-France Fashion Week—Prince Gong’s Mansion Costume Show Press Conference” will be held at the Grand Theater of the Prince Gong’s Mansion. At the press conference, the mystery surrounding the 35 haute couture designs created jointly by the Prince Gong’s Mansion Museum and renowned designer Lawrence Xu—a fusion of Chinese and Western styles—will be unveiled, marking the beginning of a new journey for the contemporary expression and international promotion of traditional Chinese costume culture.
